South Texas Gas prices started the day considerably lower than yesterday. We saw trades in the $6s for the first time all month. But like yesterday it seems people think the early prices were a little low and thus the prices slowly pushed up most of the day. NGPL seems to have been the hot ticket for the weekend averaging $7.05. Tennessee and Tetco had late pushes but only managed averages of $7.275 and $7.02 respectively. High for the day was $7.09 on Tetco and the low was $6.695 also on Tetco. Right now Nymex is about ten cents back from yesterday lurking in the $7.40 range. I'm not sure if prices lagged so much today as a result of warm weather fears or if it was just a Friday lull, but prices were down farther than I was expecting. Have a great weekend all,

Prices went through a early drop this morning (low of $7.10) due to fears of a worse than expected storage number but proceeded north as the morning went on. Prices finished up right about where the average was yesterday with a high trade across the STX basket (Tenn, Tetco, NGPL) of $7.25 (Tetco). Averages settled is around the mid to high teens. Tetco lead the pack settling out at $7.185, followed by Tennesee two cents behind, NGPL was the lowest of the three again today at $7.14. Houston Ship priced out at around $7.21. They Nymex hasn't hardly moved at all today ($7.47 as I type), staying very flat to yesterdays close.

The storage number that came out today was -48 Bcf which is very bullish considering we were looking for a pull closer to 26. Storage numbers are now 171 Bcf under last year's at this time and 326 Bcf over the 5 year average.

Other Prices of Interest (approximate average):
Hub - $7.55
TGP 500L - $7.46
TGP Z6 (New York) - $8.33
Tetco M3 (New York) - $8.24
NGPL Nicor (Chicago) - $7.07

The market was pretty quiet today. It fell a little throughout the day but for the most part prices hung just below the $7.20 mark up a little from yesterday. Tennessee and Tetco were basically flat with NGPL running two cents back. Houston Ship prices lagged a penny back as well. This was the first day in week HSC hasn't traded higher. The high for the three basket pipes was $7.21 (Tetco) and the low was $7.13 (NGPL). All in all a pretty tight spread of eight cents across the South Texas basket. The Nymex screen is in the Low $7.40s basically flat to yesterday's close.
